Classes help you group clients who attend the same sessions. While creating a class, you will add its basic details, set its schedule and link the plans that clients can purchase.
Quick steps
- Go to Classes and select Add Class.
- Enter the class title, skill and center.
- Add optional information such as the level, description, capacity, visibility and reservation settings.
- Select the days on which the class is conducted and enter the start and end times.
- Link one or more plans that clients can purchase to attend the class.
- Select Save.
Detailed instructions
Step 1: Add the class details
Go to Classes and select Add Class.
Under Basic details, enter the following mandatory fields:
- Title: Enter a clear and easily identifiable name, such as 7 AM Beginner Football.
- Skill: Select the skill taught in the class.
- Class format: Select Offline, Online or Both.
- Center: Select the center or online joining link, depending on how the class is conducted.
You can also provide the following optional information:
- Level: Select the appropriate level, such as beginner or advanced.
- Description: Tell clients what to expect from the class, what they should bring, or share any other useful instructions.

Upload a class banner image
Upload a high-quality image that will be displayed on the spyn CONNECT and Social apps.
The recommended image size is 1080 × 400 px.
Limit the class capacity
Turn this on to set the maximum number of clients who can enrol. When this limit is reached, the class will display as Full on the spyn CONNECT app to prevent overbooking. (You can still add clients above this limit from the PRO app).
Choose the class visibility
Select who can view the class on spyn CONNECT:
- Private: Only your existing clients can view the class.
- Public: Anyone using spyn CONNECT can view the class, including people who are not yet your clients.
Enable reservations
Turn this on if enrolled clients should reserve their slot before attending a session. You can configure:
Maximum slots available: The maximum number of enrolled clients who can reserve a session online. Once filled, the session will show as full.
Advance reservation window: How far in advance a client can view and reserve a slot (e.g., set to 7 days).
Reservation deadline: How close to the class start time clients can make a reservation (e.g., set to 1 hour).
After entering the required information, select Next.
Step 2: Set the class schedule
Select the days on which the class will be conducted.
For every selected day, set the:
- Start time
- End time
You can also:
- Add another time slot on the same day.
- Copy timings to other selected days.
- Select multiple days when the same group of clients attends all the selected sessions.
Set a date range (optional)
Enable Set date range for above timings if the schedule should apply only during a specific period, such as a summer camp, holiday programme or short-term course.
If you do not set a date range, the schedule remains ongoing.
After adding the schedule, select Next.
Step 3: Link plans
Select the plans that clients can purchase to attend the class.
You can:
- Search for a plan by name.
- Select one or more plans.
- Use Select all to link all the available plans.
If the required plan has not been created, select Add plan, complete its setup and then return to link it to the class.
When multiple plans are linked, a client can enrol in the class by purchasing any one of those plans.
After selecting at least one plan, select Save.
The class is now ready for client enrolment, scheduling, attendance and reservations.
Frequently asked questions
Which fields are mandatory when creating a class?
The mandatory fields are:
- Title
- Skill
- Class format—Offline, Online or Both
- Center or online joining link, depending on the class format
Can I create a class that is both online and offline?
Yes. Select Both under the class format.
Can I select more than one day for a class?
Yes. Select multiple days when the same group of clients attends all those sessions.
If different groups attend on different days, create separate classes for them.
Can I add more than one time slot on the same day?
Yes. After entering the first start and end time, use the add option to include another time slot for that day.
Do I need to set a date range?
No. A date range is optional.
Use it when the schedule should apply only during a fixed period, such as a camp or short-term course.
Can I link multiple plans to the same class?
Yes. You can link multiple plans to a class. A client can enrol by purchasing any one of the linked plans.
Why is the Next button disabled on the first step?
The Next button becomes available after all mandatory class details have been completed.
Check that you have entered the title and selected the skill, class format and center.
Why is the Next button disabled on the schedule step?
Select at least one day and enter valid start and end times for the selected day.
Why is the Save button disabled?
You must link at least one plan before you can save the class.
What is the difference between a private and public class?
- A private class can be viewed only by your existing clients.
- A public class can be viewed by anyone using spyn CONNECT, including prospective clients.
What happens when reservations are enabled?
When reservations are enabled, enrolled clients can reserve a slot for an upcoming session through spyn CONNECT. You can control the maximum slots available, how far in advance reservations open and the reservation deadline. Once all reservation slots are filled, the session appears as full.
